What Jack likes about August is that he can make him laugh and hes one of those kids who doesn't really like the spotlight to much which is exactly how Jack feels. He also likes August because he feels like Jack can tell him whatever he feels like if he feels like he needs t tell him about a secret or about something after school because he isn't one of the most popular kids like August.

Jack likes that August lets him copy down notes in class. He also likes him by being really funny and telling jokes during class. Jack feels bad for August when he wont speak with him because he thinks that Jack is sneaking the plague behind his back.
